A BOOST TO LIM’S HEALTH PROGRAM.  Manila Mayor Alfredo S. Lim receives vaccine donations from Glaxo Smith Kline Philippines, and an ambulance (behind him) from the Chinese Filipino Business Club Inc. (CFBCI).  The vaccines with 20,000 doses are worth P5million for Hepatitis B and the ambulance are a big boost to the Mayor’s health agenda for the City of Manila.  With the mayor are: Samuel Fernandez, District Business Manager (2^nd from right); Exequiel A. Tria, Consultant for Preventive Healthcare of Glaxo Smith Kline (3^rd from right); Dr. Fidel V. Chua, Director of Ospital ng Maynila Medical Center (extreme right); Atty. LIM THROWS PORNO MOVIES/MAGAZINES.  Manila Mayor Alfredo S. Lim leads officials in throwing pornographic movies and magazines on the floor to be crushed by the bulldozer while the printed materials were burned within the quadrangle of City Hall.  Lim sponsored the whole-day forum of the Philippine Alliance Against Pornography (PAAP) headed by Dr. Cindy Dollente Ang (right of Mayor Lim) and Tita Pilapil Reverente, PAAP Vice President.

LIM MEETS WOLFENSOHN.  Manila Mayor Alfredo S. Lim recently met with former World Bank President James Wolfensohn during the latter’s courtesy call at the Manila City Hall.  Lim also sought advice from Wolfensohn on how the city government can effectively manage its finances.  The former WB head owns a US-based investment advisory company. 03/06/2008

Agriculture Secretary Arthur C. Yap (second from right) and Manila Mayor Alfredo S. Lim (center) check the prices of basic food commodities at the Quinta Public Market. Yap appealed to LGUs and market administrators to support the DA's Bagsakan Center program that aims to increase the income of farmers, minimize trading layers and reduce the price of wage goods. Quinta Market is one of the proposed Bagsakan Centers in Metro Manila.
