LUNGSOD NG MAYNILA WEBSITE WON the BEST WEBSITE E-LGUs-CITY

Mayor Alfredo Lim and the Website of Lungsod ng Maynila bagged the major award as the Best Website under E-LGUs-City category at the 11th Philippine Web Awards held recently at the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium in Yuchengco Tower 2, RCBC Plaza, Makati City. 

It is the first time that Manila joined a country-wide web competition with a goal of inspiring the Manilans that the city can hurdle with other cities in the internet world. With 18 final categories and 79 finalists, PWA respected Yahoo!, Multiply, CBS, and McCann Erickson as judges. The finalists were rated based on the content, design, usability, functionality.

"A dream come true, Linisin, Ikarangal ang Maynila," webmaster said as part of her 10-word short speech upon accepting the award from presentor Sec. Ray Anthony Roxas-Chua III of the Commission on Communications & Information Technology . 

The Philippine Web Awards, is an award giving body that annually recognizes the best Filipino-created websites as well as the individuals and teams behind them. For more than a decade, it has honored the outstanding Filipino talents in the field of web design and development.
