BE
TRUE TO YOUR OATH. This was what Manila Mayor Alfredo S. Lim
stressed before city officials and employees who attended the 108th
anniversary celebration of the Philippine Civil Service held at the
Rajah Sulayman in Roxas Boulevard Saturday afternoon. The Mayor cited
the case of Nestor Lucapa, a fresh cum laude graduate of BS Criminology
at the City College of Manila who placed 9th in the recent
board despite his poverty and Abraham Cariño, an honest tricycle driver
who returned a green envelope with P53,350 in cash to the Mayor even if
he himself needed the money so much to feed his family of four children
and his wife. The Mayor said public servants should give their
dedication, loyalty and service over self.

as a bulldozer wrecks P80,000 worth of lewd VCDs and DVDs seized in
Quiapo by the Mayor’s Complaints and Action Team (MCAT) headed by ret.

and the Mayor said his staff will conduct sporadic and surprise
confiscations in the coming months to stop the production of these
pornographic materials which undermine the moral values of the youth. At
the extreme left, kicking the VCDs/DVDs is Señior Supt. Nelson Yabut.
